How can I join Nextdoor?
You can join and verify in a neighborhood as long as you rent a home or own one or two homes, own property where you are planning to build a home, or own a rental home in the neighborhood.
You can join the neighborhood with the following steps:
1) Join your neighborhood
You should create an account on Nextdoor to connect with your neighbors. You do not need an invitation to join Nextdoor.
2) Verify your address
To verify your address, you can choose one of the following ways: phone number, credit or debit card, postcard, last 4 of SSN, LexisNexis, or lead approval.
3) Confirm your email address
When you join Nextdoor, you are advised to click on the confirmation link that we send you in an email to confirm your email address. If you don't follow this step, there will be a red banner at the top of your Newsfeed to remind you of that and finally, you won't receive emails from Nextdoor.
4) Install Nextdoor on your devices
You can download the Nextdoor app on your iPhone, Android, or iPad to take advantage of the network whenever you want and wherever you are.
5) Introduce yourself
After all the steps above are finished, you are supposed to post an introductory message. You can tell about your name, family and hobbies as well as your wishes towards the neighborhood.
